Introducing
Lighting the way for Immunisation Leads
Immunisation Leads are critical to delivering the health and societal benefits of vaccination and the routine immunisation schedule. The pressures of modern primary care, and competing demands for time and resources, can impact vaccination rates and lead to substantial variation across practices, as well as overall patient care.
Vaccine uptake is declining and there is a need to address the issues. The role of Immunisation Lead and someone advocating for and being confident in the immunisation is really important in primary care.

System Searches for Patient Identification
To support the simplification of patient identification, pre-populated system searches compiling SNOMED codes that indicate eligibility for shingles vaccination have been developed and are ready to be simply imported into your electronic health record systems.
The system searches have been developed by GSK in partnership with Interface Clinical Services. They do not make clinical decisions and are not intended to replace individual clinical judgement of the HCP using the search outputs. Clinical review is required of the lists created.
