Beverley Bostock

Beverley is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Gloucestershire and an independent prescriber. She is the Asthma Lead for ARNS, Chair of the ARNS Respiratory Diseases committee, and sits on the Executive Committee of the PCRS and Asthma and Lung UK's Council of Healthcare Professionals. She holds an MSc in Respiratory Care and an MA in Medical Ethics and Law. Bev was part of the NICE Asthma Quality Standards development and the National Review of Asthma Deaths. She is Editor in Chief of Practice Nurse Journal and has been a Queen’s Nurse since 2015.

Professor Richard E K Russell, BSc (Honours), PhD, MBBS, FRCP (UK, Professor of Respiratory Medicine, King’s College, London, Respiratory Consultant at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust

Professor Russell trained in London and is currently a Professor at KCL London and a Respiratory Consultant at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. He is the Clinical Director of the West Hampshire Integrated Respiratory Service. In 2024, he became the Chair of the British Thoracic Society. His research focusses on the basic mechanisms of COPD, disease progression, COPD exacerbations, mechanisms of lung damage as well as phenotypes of all airways disease. Dr Russell is the founding Editor of the International Journal of COPD, and is keen to increase the global awareness of COPD and provide a platform for scientific developments from across the world.
